Information We Collect

We may collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, date of birth, profile details, account credentials, preferences, support messages, content you create, and information related to gifting or delivery setup.

We may also collect technical and usage information, such as device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, approximate location derived from IP or device settings, diagnostics, crash data, interaction events, and similar service analytics.

If you grant permission, we may collect contacts, photos, notification tokens, camera or microphone access, or other information needed for specific app features. You can control many permissions through your device settings.

How We Use Information

We use information to operate and improve Celaverse, authenticate accounts, personalize the experience, deliver social and gifting features, maintain safety, respond to support requests, investigate abuse, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

We share information with service providers and infrastructure partners that help us host, secure, analyze, support, moderate, process, and operate Celaverse.

We may share information when needed to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect users, investigate fraud or abuse, exercise or defend legal claims, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information in the ordinary meaning of the term. We also do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as that term is used in some privacy laws, unless we later provide the disclosures and choices required by law.

We do not use collected app data to track users across apps or websites owned by other companies for advertising purposes, and we do not share collected personal information with data brokers.

What Other Users Can See

Depending on the features you use and your settings, other users may see your profile information, display name, birthday-related information, content you post or send, and interactions associated with your account.

Content you send to other users, including notes, cards, or messages, may remain available to those recipients even if you later change your profile or delete your account, subject to applicable law and product functionality.

Third-Party Services and Merchants

Celaverse may include third-party logins, merchant links, affiliate links, gift recommendations, payment-related flows, or other integrations. Those services operate under their own privacy notices and terms.

If you leave Celaverse or complete a transaction with a third party, that party’s practices govern the transaction and related data handling.

Celaverse may present affiliate links, merchant links, and third-party product recommendations, including Amazon Associate links. We may receive commissions or other consideration if you interact with or purchase through certain links. If you leave Celaverse for a third-party merchant, website, or service, that third party’s own privacy practices and terms apply to your activity on its service.

Push Notifications, Contacts, Photos, and Device Permissions

With your permission, we may send push notifications about birthdays, cards, notes, account updates, gifting flows, or product changes. You can disable notifications in your device settings or in available in-app controls.

If you choose to grant contacts, camera, microphone, or photo access, we use that access only to support features you choose to use, such as finding people you know, capturing content, or selecting photos for posts and profile content.

You can revoke those permissions at any time in your device settings, although some features may no longer work properly.

Retention and Account Deletion

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, detect and prevent abuse, and meet legal, security, moderation, and accounting obligations.

If you request account deletion, we will delete or de-identify information as required by applicable law, subject to lawful retention needs such as fraud prevention, dispute resolution, chargeback handling, safety investigations, legal compliance, internal recordkeeping, and backups that are later overwritten in the ordinary course.

Deleting your account does not necessarily remove content previously shared with other users, content preserved for compliance or safety reasons, or information required to complete pending transactions or enforce our agreements.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information, but no method of transmission, processing, or storage is completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and for using Celaverse in a secure manner.

Children

Celaverse is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we collected such information, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
