Your privacy is critically important to us. At Celaverse ("Celaverse", "we", "us", "our"), we have a few fundamental principles:

We are thoughtful about the personal information we ask you to provide and the personal information that we collect about you through the operation of our services.

We don't share your personal information with anyone except when necessary to comply with the law, to develop or operate our products or services, to protect our rights, or with your expressed consent.

We store personal information for only as long as we have a reason to keep it. We aim to be transparent on how we gather, use, and share your personal information. Below is our privacy policy ("Privacy Policy"):

Celaverse operates a mobile application (the "Application") and the website www.celaverse.com (the “Site”). The Application and Site together are hereinafter referred to as the “Services”.  It is Celaverse's policy to favor the privacy of the Services' users ("you", "your") regarding any information collected through the Services, and to disclose what information we collect, and how that information gets used.

Please note that this Privacy Policy does not apply to any of our products or services that have a separate privacy policy.

Below we explain how we collect, use, and share information about you, along with the choices that you have with respect to that information.

Non-personally identifying Information

Celaverse collects, or may have a third-party service providers collect on behalf of Celaverse, non-personally identifying information of the sort that mobile applications typically make available, such as the type of device using the Application, the operating system, and aggregated user statistics. Celaverse's has a legitimate business purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information in order to better understand how users utilize the Application. From time to time, Celaverse may release non-personally identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing or disclosing to third parties a report on trends in the usage of the Application or of mobile applications including the Application.

Personally Identifying Information

Certain users of the Services choose to interact with Celaverse in ways that require Celaverse to gather personally identifying information. The amount and type of information that Celaverse gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask users who log in to a social network through the Application to provide a username and an email address.  Users who interact with us through the Site will be asked to register providing their first and last name and email.  Such Site users will also be asked to create a username and password. Those who engage in transactions with Celaverse are asked to provide additional personally identifying information, including, as necessary, their first and last name, physical address, telephone number, and additional data such as financial information required to process those transactions. In all cases where Celaverse collects such information, Celaverse does so only insofar as is necessary or required to fulfill the purpose of the user interaction with Celaverse, while following all legislative requirements. Celaverse does not share personally identifying information other than as described in section "Sharing of Personally-Identifiable Information" below. Users can always refuse to supply personally identifying information, however, doing such may prevent them from engaging in certain Application-related activities if such information is required.

How and Why We Use Information

We use information about you for the legitimate business purposes listed below:

To provide you with access to the Services. For example, your information will be used the SErvices, set up and maintain your account, host the service, backup and restore the service, provide customer service, and verify user information.

To ensure quality, maintain safety, and improve our services. For example, by providing upgrades and new versions of our Services. Or, for example, by monitoring and analyzing how users interact with our Services so we can create new features that we think our users will enjoy or make our Services easier to use.

To protect the Services, our users, and the public. For example, by detecting security incidents; detecting and protecting against malicious, deceptive, fraudulent, or illegal activity; fighting spam; complying with our legal obligations; and protecting the rights and property of Celaverse and others, which may result in us, for example, declining a transaction or terminating services or features.

To fix problems with the Services. For example, by monitoring, debugging, repairing, and preventing issues.

To customize the user experience. For example, to personalize your experience by serving you relevant notifications and advertisements for our Site, Application, and recommending content.

To communicate with you. For example, by emailing you to ask for your feedback, share tips for getting the most out of the Services, or keep you up to date on Celaverse. If you don't want to hear from us, you can opt out of marketing communications at any time. (If you opt out, we'll still send you important updates and transactional information relating to your account including without limitation alerts highlighting updates to this privacy policy and our terms of service.)

As otherwise described to you at the time of collection, or with your consent.

 

Sharing of Personally Identifying Information

Celaverse shares personally identifying information only with those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on Celaverse's behalf or to provide services available through the Services, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to non-required parties. For instance, Celaverse uses third-party vendors and hosting partners to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, data storage, and related technology required to run the services available through the Services. Please note that some of those employees, contractors and affiliated organizations may be located outside of your home country. Celaverse will not rent or sell personally identifying information to anyone. Other than to its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations, as described above, Celaverse discloses personally identifying information only when required to do so by law, in connection with a merger or acquisition or sale of all or substantially all of its assets or the Services, or when Celaverse believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Celaverse, third parties or the public at large.

Use of Email Addresses and Push Notifications

If you have supplied your email address as part of your use of the Services, Celaverse may, subject to the applicable law, occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what is going on with Celaverse and our products. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum.

You may decide that you prefer Celaverse not to use your personal information to promote new and/or additional products and/or services which may be of interest to you and refuse that we contact you by email.  You can always limit the communications that Celaverse sends to you.  To opt-out of marketing emails, simply click the link labeled “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any electronic communications we send you. Please note that even if you opt-out of marketing and promotional emails, we may still need to contact you with important information about your account.

With your consent, Celaverse may also send push notifications or alerts to the device you use to access the Application. Such notifications can reach you even when you are not logged in to the Application or the Application is not running on your device. Celaverse uses push notifications to send you messages related to the services provided through the Application or to make available to you general information regarding Celaverse and its products. You can deactivate push notifications in the settings of the Application or of your device at any time, however, doing so may prevent various Application functions from working, if such functions rely on push notifications.

Protection of Information

Celaverse takes reasonable measures to protect your personally identifiable information against unauthorized access, use, alteration, loss, or destruction.

Cookies

A cookie is a string of information that a web server stores on a user's computer or other device, and that the user's device provides back to the web server each time the user returns. In some jurisdictions, we are not permitted to send cookies to your browser without your prior expressed consent. In this case, we will seek such consent. This section assumes that either the use of cookies is not restricted by applicable law, or if it is restricted that the individual has explicitly consented to the use of the cookies. Celaverse may use cookies as part of the Services to remember your user preferences and make available to you the services provided through the Services. You can block the use of cookies by activating settings in your browser.  The “Help” feature on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting cookies, how to have the browser notify you when you receive a new cookie, or how to disable cookies altogether.  If you choose to withhold consent, or subsequently block cookies, you may not be ablet o access all or part of the content of our Services.

Do-Not-Track Disclosures

The Services do not offer "Do Not Track" choices or other mechanisms designed to provide you the ability to exercise choice regarding the collection of such information.

Age Limitation

The Servicesare not directed and should not be available to children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect any kind of personal information from children under 13 years of age. If you are under the age of 13 or the general age of consent for data processing in your country, do not use the Services or otherwise provide us with personal information. If we become aware that such information has been collected, we will immediately delete such information. If any parent or guardian learns or otherwise becomes aware of such child using the Services or otherwise providing personal information to us, please contact us.

Data Subject Rights

California Residents

The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides California consumers with the right to request access to their personal data, additional details about our information practices and deletion of their personal information (subject to certain exceptions).  California consumers also have the right to opt out of sales of personal information, if applicable.  We describe how California consumers can exercise their rights under the CCPA below.  Please note that you may designate an authorized agent to exercise these rights on your behalf by providing written materials demonstrating that you have granted the authorized agent power of attorney.  Please note that if an authorized agent submits a request on your behalf, we may need to contact you to verify your identity and protect the security of your personal information.  We will not fulfill your CCPA request unless you have provided sufficient information for us to reasonably verify you are the consumer about whom we collected personal information.  We will not discriminate against you if you choose to exercise your rights under the CCPA. 

You may request, no more than twice in a twelve (12) month period, access to the specific pieces of personal data we have collected about you in the last twelve (12) months.  You may also request additional details about our information practices, including the categories of personal information we have collected about you, the sources of such collection, the categories of personal information we share for a legitimate business or commercial purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom we share your personal information. You may make these requests by contacting using the contact information provided below in the “How to Contact Us” Section below.   After submitting your request, please monitor your email for a verification email.  We are required by law to verify your identity prior to granting access to your data in order to protect your privacy and security.

You may request that we delete the personal information we have collected about you.  Please note that we may retain certain information as required or permitted by applicable law.  You may make these requests by contacting us using the contact information provided below in the “How to Contact Us” Section below.  After submitting your request, please monitor your email for a verification email.  We are required by law to verify your identity prior to granting access to your data in order to protect your privacy and security.

California residents are entitled to ask us for a notice identifying the categories of personal information which we share with our affiliates and/or third parties for marketing purposes and providing contact information for such affiliates and/or third parties.  If you are a California Resident and would like to exercise your rights under CCPA, please submit a written request using the information provided in the “How to Contract Us” section below. Our privacy team will examine your request and respond to you as quickly as possible.

EU/EEA Residents

If you are a natural person residing within the European Economic Area (“Data Subject”), the following additional rights as expressed under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 known as the General Data Protection Regulations (“GDPR”) are applicable to you:

Personal Data: For the purposes of this section, “Personal Data” means collectively personally identifiable information (“PII”), including, without limitation, information, which collected together, can lead to personal identification (“Unique Identifiers”), personal identifiers used for advertising purposes (“Advertising Identifiers”), and certain location date (“Location Data”) which you have provided to, or otherwise collected when you use and otherwise access the Website.

Basis for Processing Data: Our Website relies on the consent of the Data Subject to process personal information. Data Subjects must be at least the age of 16 to consent to the processing of their Personal Data. Data Subjects under the age of 16 must obtain their parent’s or legal guardian’s permission to consent to the processing. On other occasions, we may process information when we need to do so to fulfill a contract, provide services or where we are required by law to do so.

Access/Portability: You may access, correct, or modify the Personal Data you provided to the Website and associated with your account. Note that we may request to verify your identification before fulfilling your request. You can also request that your personal information is provided to you in a commonly used electronic format so that you can share it with other organizations. You may do so by contacting our privacy team to process your request.

Forgotten: You may request to have your Personal Data erased, or otherwise request that your Personal Data not be processed. Please note that the Service, or parts of the Service, may become inaccessible or otherwise not function properly if you request to have your Personal Data erased or not be processed. You may do so by contacting our privacy team as described below.

Object, Restrict, or Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw consent you previously provided to website or otherwise object to or restrict the processing of your Personal Data. Please note that the Service, or parts of the Service, may become inaccessible or otherwise not function properly if you withdraw certain consents or otherwise object to restrict the processing of your Personal Data. You may do so by contacting our privacy team to process your request.

Supervisory Authority: If you have a concern with the handling of your Personal Information, you have the right to do so with your local Data Protection Authority in the country in which you reside.

If you would like to exercise above EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rights about your personal information we hold about you, please submit a written request using the information provided in the “How to Contract Us” section below. Our privacy team will examine your request and respond to you as quickly as possible.

How to Contact Us

Email us at apps@celaverse.com to find out what personally identifying information we have collected about you and request any necessary changes, updates, deletions or corrections. Some data protection laws grant particular users certain rights with respect to their personally identifying information, such as the right to access, correct or delete your information. If such data protection law applies to your use of the Services, please email us at the address above to exercise your right.

Transferring Information

Celaverse is a United States based company. The information about you that we process when you use the Services in your country may be used, stored, and/or accessed by individuals or organizations operating outside your country. By accessing or using our Services, you expressly consent to the transfer of your information outside of your country. Such countries may have laws which are different, and potentially not as protective, as the laws of your own country. Where required by an applicable law, we will take additional safeguards with respect to your information in connection with such transfers.

Privacy Policy Changes

Although most changes are likely to be minor, Celaverse may change this Privacy Policy from time to time, and in Celaverse's sole discretion. These changes will always meet or exceed the requirements of the app store hosting the app. Changes to the Privacy Policy will be effective as of the date we post the revised version on this page or make it otherwise accessible through the Services as a notification. Celaverse encourages users to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. If you have a Celaverse account, you should also check your social network dashboard for alerts to these changes.

Your Acknowledgement

By using the Services and/or accepting any terms of service for the Services, you acknowledge the information provided to you about our collection, use, and sharing of any information pertaining to you as described in this Privacy Policy.
